Traces of Florence. Palazzo Vecchio tells about the old City.

Traces of Florence is a new section in the tour of the Museum of Palazzo Vecchio, implementing the enlargement of the areas for the enjoyment of the museum.
The new exhibition area will offer the public a short story in pictures of Florence, of its urban and architectural development in the heart of the city and in the Palace that best represents all the historical phases, while maintaining clear traces in its structural and decorative layers and expansions.
The works on display come primarily from the historical and topographic municipal collection, paintings, prints and drawings showing the city's appearance through the centuries.
In addition, a special section will host temporary exhibitions, drawing mainly from deposits and municipal collections, on themes where citizens developed each time a different specific aspect of the history and image of Florence.
This section will be inaugurated with an exhibition of ten paintings by the great Florentine painter Ottone Rosai.
