MotoGP 2008 - Italian Grand Prix at Mugello
The Gran Premio d'Italia of Motorcycling is back, at Mugello from May 30 to 01 June 2008, with its enormous charge of speed and adrenaline. Moto GP is one of the best loved sports by the Italian public and worldwide; the motorcycles zoom at very high speeds, hitting over 300 km/h, the drivers are always pushing their bikes to the limit with continuous passing maneuvers and breathtaking trajectories.
Mugello is a can't miss event on the Motomondiale calendar. Over 5 km long, the track at Mugello is famous for its difficulty, its safety and the beauty of the surrounding nature; it is one of the drivers' favorite circuits and one of the most demanding, a track that combines slow and fast curves, climbs and descents. The track records belongs to Sete Gibernau, who won in 2004 in 1' 51'' 133 at an average speed of 170 km/h.

How to get there
By train: the closest stations are Borgo San Lorenzo and San Piero.
There are numerous daily connections between Florence Santa Maria Novella or Florence Campo di Marte.
By car: exit the A1 Bologna-Firenze tollway at Barberino del Mugello. Follow the signs for "Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello".
